Publishers emphasize the value of quality journalism

On May 22nd, the event organized by the five member publishers - DPG Media, Mediahuis, Roularta, Rossel and IPM - together with CEO Gauthier Elslander around the launch of the Belgian Publishing Experience (BPX), also included an extensive roundtable discussion with a number of first-rate Belgian (chief) editors and editors.

A few leading figures in Belgian journalism took part in the debate, including Karel Verhoeven (De Standaard), Béatrice Delvaux (Le Soir), Dorian de Meeûs (La Libre), Anne-Sophie Bailly (Le Vif) and Remy Amkreutz (De Morgen). Moderator on duty was Danny Devriendt (IPG Dynamics). The emphasis was clearly on the editorial side and all that makes the difference between the local quality press and (international) platforms and aggregators.
